Based on the latest reports, like the new Tahoe and Suburban, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade could offer a new styling theme while more substantial restyling should be expected in a year or two.
Inside, the Escalade will also feature luxurious design and impressive equipment level. In that context, it can compete with the luxury leaders which come from Range Rover and Mercedes. All versions will get high-quality material treatment and feature galore. However, each upper trim will bring things to the higher level.
The base versions will arrive on the 20-inch alloy wheels. The exterior features will include the Led headlights, automatic wipers, side steps, power liftgate, Magnetic Ride Suspension, roof rails, etc. Inside the cabin, buyers can count on the tri-zone climate control, leather upholstery, power pedals. The list of the safety equipment will include an array of advanced systems. There will be the adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert and low-speed emergency braking. The list will also include a blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning and intervention.
2018 Cadillac Escalade: Performance
On the performance front, Cadillac doesn’t seem preparing any surprise. The new 2018 Cadillac Escalade will likely rely on the proven 6.2-liter V-8 engine. In the combination with the 8-speed automatic transmission, it will provide 420 hp and torque of 460 pound-feet. The Escalade will offer the standard rear-wheel drive. As an option the four-wheel drive comes with the two-speed transfer case.
With this power hardware, the Escalade will allow up to 8, 300 pound of towing capacity. The fuel economy will be around 17 mpg on the average basis. On the other hand, with the four-wheel drive, the Escalade should be able to reach 60-mph in 6-second range.
2018 Cadillac Escalade: Availability, Price
With no major changes to its portfolio, the new 2018 Cadillac Escalade should cost from around $74, 000. It should arrive in late 2017 or early 2018.
