The Kia Sportage is compact five-seat crossover SUV that is definitely worth of attention. When comes to the exterior look, the 2018 Kia Sportage won’t bring any substantial changes. With the new generation model arrival this compact SUV is much sportier and attractive. Its sheetmetal features more pronounced lines and more sculpted shapes.
The front fascia is defined with tiger nose grille and Kia badge sits above it. The front bumper has large middle opening and large slots for the fog lights are the part of the bumper as well.

How will it look inside?
Inside, the 2018 model won’t bring big changes either. Model has grown in size for the last model year and that is good because it is now surpassingly spacious. It gained 1.6 inches in length and has additional 1.2 inches between the wheels. That translates to more spacious backseat. A sport tuned suspension, paddle shifters, 19-inch wheels, navigation system and premium sound system will be listed on the Turbo version.
The model will also include some advanced safety features. There will be forward collision mitigation and auto emergency braking, blind-zone monitor, rear cross traffic alert, parking sensors, lane departure warning, etc.
2018 Kia Sportage: Strong Performance
For the strong performance the 2018 Kia Sportage will rely on two engine options. The base engine option will be a 2.4 liter four-cylinder. It will be capable to produce around 181 hp and torque of 175 pound-feet.
Alternative will be a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. It will produce around 240 hp and peak torque of around 260 lb-ft. Both engines will work together with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Standard will be front wheel drive. All models will have option for four-wheel drive and rear locking differential.
As for the fuel economy, the base front-wheel drive configuration should earn 26 mpg combined. All-wheel drive will down the score to around 22 mpg combined. With turbocharged engine, front wheel drive will return around 23 mpg. With turbo power and four-wheel drive we should expect 21 mpg combined.
