2018 Nissan Patrol: Design
From the visual perspective, the new 2018 Nissan Patrol won’t be a large departure from the current version. The sheet metal of the global model is planted on the platform of the QX80 with only minor tweaks for the new 2017 Armada version. In that context, the 2018 Patrol will feature familiar, bold and modern exterior design. Up front, the model will have chromed V-motion grille version flanked by LED headlights. The model will also have LED DRLs and LED taillights.
The base models will ride on the 18-inch wheels while for other versions Nissan will install 20-inch alloys. To model’s rugged appearance will also add sculpted front and rear bumpers. Another detail on model’s exterior will be functional air vents placed in front of the front doors.
Inside, the model will offer the combination of modern design, premium comfort and innovative technology. Broad front seats will provide long-ride comfort and the same will be with the middle seats. The third row will won’t, however, offer a class leading comfort.
The model will also get high-quality material treatment with soft-touch surfaces on all touch points. The dash will feature upright center stack with 8-inch center screen managing Nissan’s latest infotainment features. Available will also be the rear seat entertainment with 7-inch touchscreens mounted in seats’ headrests. Standard features will be a dual-zone climate control, heated and power front seats, leather wrapped tilt-end-telescoping steering wheel, satellite radio, keyless entry and ignition, etc.
Upgrades will include leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and heated middle row, wood trim accents, leather door trim, etc. The safety of the passengers will also be up-to-date thanks to an array of the advanced safety aids. The model will benefit from the lane departure warning and prevention, forward collision warning, blind-spot warning and intervention, tire pressure monitoring system, etc.
2018 Nissan Patrol: Powertrains
The new 2018 Nissan Patrol will arrive with two engine options. A 4.0-liter V-6 engine petrol unit will produce around 275 horsepower. A more powerful 5.6-liter V-8 engine equipped with the direct injection and Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) will provide around 400 hp and torque of 560 Nm. The transmission system is an 7-speed automatic which comes with the standard rear-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive will also be available with driving modes for sand, on-road, snow and rock. The model will also have an electronic rear-locking differential, hill start and descent control.
